Old New Guy, New Old Guy? Confused.
This Thursday if the world don't end I'm suppose to have Cataract surgery performed on my right eye and the left one done the following week. Suppose to replace the lenses in both eyes. Of course there is always a catch...Standard Government lenses as the Doctor calls them...are fully covered under Medicare and blue cross blue shield...excellent. BUT they will not give me close up to infinity focus....[:0]
Upgrading that to a (my word-"More better") lens is 2 grand per eye out of pocket, but I believe is well worth it.
will not have to wear glasses,[:)] and should never miss a target again.[:D]
I've gotten a Second chance on a triple by-pass, 5 stints implanted last year, been shot in the hand, blown up many years ago, still here and smiling [:)] God has been good to me.

I have had that done in the right eye and it has not been fun for over a year now. I have a tiny stitch that will not disolve so I have to go back and have that removed. 0 -
You may not miss a target again,but while you are shooting you are still going to be wearing glasses,safety glasses.Go the gov lens route and at least wear a pair of glasses you pick out. Most safety glasses are uncomfortable to wear. 0 -

Had my right eye done a few months ago. New lens has built in UV protection, even has a serial number..A real bionic man. I do still require reading glasses. 0 -

He just needs to get the right kind of safety glasses. Check out Wiley-X. They make awesome lenses, all of which are ANSI Z-81 certified, and some of them are ballistic lenses. The lenses in the Wiley-X SG-1 glasses are tested to survive a 12 ga shot at 10 feet. Your eyes will survive, but the rest of your face will be toast.0
