    I like the part where John Travolta ask that his minions "please not shoot at the thermo nuclear device".

    If Broken Arrow is about Indians, then it follows that;

    Dull Sword is about gladiators,
    and
    Bent Spear would be about natives.[}:)][;)]

    Would "Empty Quiver" be about the natives surrendering?

    No. That's the feeling I get when I think of my first ex-wife.

    Broken Arrow is a term used when any military unit is under direct attack and is in danger of being overrun by the enemy. One call of "Broken Arrow" over an open com link will bring all kinds of hell down on the enemy. Any and all friendly aircraft in the vicinity with any munitions on board, regardless of mission, must respond. Artillery that's within range must likewise respond. Any mobile ground units within range must begin manuvers towards the threatened unit

    quote:Broken arrow is also a code word that has been used to request close air support from all available aircraft when a ground position is in extreme danger of being overrun by enemy troops. This type of code word was last used in Operation Iraqi Freedom (April 2007) and is a plot element in movies such as We Were Soldiers.
