How many people play it online?
Next time you do play online, look for the server "Game Time Kiddies". Yeah, it sounds pansy, but they've got decent rules, decent maps, and they're always populated enough for a fun game.
I just got my VOIP working tonight, and my gaming experience shot through the roof. I was able to coordinate with my squad, take over control points easier, and just plain kick some serious @$$. I ended up getting more enemy kills, getting killed less, and getting a higher score. Another night like tonight, and I should get my next couple of unlock points for exciting new weapons.

After I left the dorm life behind, I was unable to keep up with people. Then I quit playing. Now my video card has decided to take a crap whenever I use it, not cool when playing a game. 0 -
My computer can't handle BF2. I had to settle for CoD2.[V] 0 -
I used to, but theres something funny with my computer - even with a new ATI x800 vid card, I still get really bad framerates in games like BF2. I dont know if its my mobo, my processor, or what, but its ridiculous.
I play a lot of Planetside. Its a Massive Multiplayer game, meaning thousands play at the same time (kind of like World of Warcraft except its a FPS and its in a sci-fi setting). If you like large-scale combat (e.g. platoon and company level engagements), then you might want to look into it.0 -

Zulu,If you really like teamwork and realiism you need to check out the Project Reality mod for BF2 http://www.realitymod.com/
It is more of an adult crowd that use voip and play as squads.
Weapons kits are completely different(limited),Tracers are used,if you get hit but not killed you will slowly die unless you have a medic heal you,you get field dressings for injuries,Sniper,heavy machinegun and AA kits are requested kits from QM so as to keep from having 20 snipers on one map.Trajectories and weapons damages are much more realistic and you dont see your enemies nametag either so you can actually hide without detection and you can also have spotters for sniper teams.Vehicles like tanks and APC's are run by crews,ie:gunner,driver,50 cal.Flag captures are in sequence as to create an actual frontline,choke points and ambushes.(encourages teamwork).
There are many more maps and it also includes British forces.If you decide to check it out,look me up,I play under sgraham usually on the Gloryhoundz server or IGN.0 -

I play BF2 about twice a week. Next to the Total War series its the best game I have ever played. I'll look that server up next time I'm on Zulu7. 0 -
I only play Halo on xbox live, sometimes through the PC on xbconnect.com there are a lot of modded games there, theres one where master cheif can hop in and fly an f-16!

hate to admit (ok, bragging a little), when I wasn't doing school work I was working my way up the BF tracks ladder until I stayed in the top 100 for a couple of months.0 -

Downloaded the Project Reality mod, and I love it. Now I need to find an online multiplayer server to play on. 0
