model/toolmaker

I teach model making and toolmaking for some years now and when conditions permit I take on 5 people from the gun forums online to participate free of any charges. I'm sorry but I cannot take on any more. There are NO strings attached to this offer. It's merely a payback for the years I spent in the business and I do not want knowledge to be lost to some off shore company as is the case of late. No experience is necessary but some basic machining is helpful. All I request is that the person be willing to learn and try their best to strive for completion. It will begin sometime in February of 2008 and the length averages approx 6 months depending on the person. If interested write me at verak72@yahoo.com. Merry Christmas

    I'll cover punching/piercing and staking dies but not to a great extent. It's mainly a general topic that covers everything. Are these production punches/dies or just for the tool room that you're after?

    These would be production dies. Used for sterling and nickel,22 and 24 ga.

    You are teaching what is rapidly becoming a lost art. I commend you. I've tried to get my Dad (a retired model maker) to teach a similar class to no avail.
