Any one out there have dentures?

I just got home from the dentist, and need to get them removed. Going to get dentures in about 2 or 3 months. I am scared. Everytime I think or talk about it I cry. Here is the story.

About 2 years ago went to a dentist in VA. Doctor told me he would but me under to remove 1/4 of them. A few seconds later after he started the IV, I felt him pulling. Really can't remember if he numbed up my gums or not.[:(][:(] I then started to hyperventilate. Had to leave then. remember cry, and then nothing after that. [:(]

Do any of you think I am a wuss, because I have had a tramadic experience with a dentist.

Please give me any help you can.......

    When you to this time, tell the dentist about the first experience...Find out ahead of time if you will be put out...IF you are then ask if the shots to numb the gum can be given FIRST...

    ITs more a case of having trust in your dentist, explaining to him/her about your fears and what happened to you...Ask what options and what is available...Make the first app a "talking" app if necessary..

    And NO, you are not a wuss...

    It's really no big deal, at all. I had all of mine done at once almost
    20yrs. ago. Didn't even go back for the checkup a week later, and
    still wearing the same set.

    My mom has the same ones for over 30 years
