Yalobusha County. Is that where they had Scopes' monkey trial? Sure sounds like the same mind-set. Joe

I imagine the chain gas places are geared up since they have the cooiers and space available.
don't know how many individual liceneses will be granted. It should not tale over a couple of weeks to get the ball rossing tho. I believe any delay will be met with strong opposition.

A few weeks ago a restaurant (we don't have many good ones here) p;osted their menu on an outside billboard. Code compliance made him take it down. He went around town and found about 15 outside billboards, Which had not been ordered down. Back to codecompliance and the reason he was singled out, his billbopard had a beer logo on it!!! We have some of the most narrow minded people in the world right here. I just can'twait top load my truck down and make it a point to visit all my neighbors,.

Tell you how bad it is, my brother runs a convenience store in Flo rence AL and a cousin run a travel agence just a few blocks away. They have not visited his store sice he sells beer there.

I think it's funny. Several years ago I visited some of the ex's family who lived in a dry county in Ky. Not thinking about it being a dry county we took along a 12 pk and was setting on the porch "imbibing". The law showed up and after a lecture confiscated the 3 cans that was left. Seems "someone" had called in and complained. Found out later it was the local "bootlegger"! (there's at least one in every dry county. go figgur) I guess he saw competition in a once a year visit.

I thought a dry town meant that you just could not buy liquor in the town, not that you couldn't consume it there?
