I am kind in and out. I did post a few days ago too.
I may be around a bit more as I got put on crutches yesterday. I redamaged my ankle that was shattered 3 years ago. They will not know how bad it is untill they get the X-rays from right after the surgery in from California.
So untill then I am just staying off the ankle as much as possible.0 -
Ouch! That sounds like serious pain, and very little fun to go with it. You're doing the right thing to stay off of it as much as possible until it heals. Since it has to carry all your weight when you walk, poor healing of something like that can bother you for years if you are not careful with it.

...I finally found a place in Arkansas thru a friend of mine in FL., that will have the parts to my "real" ([:D]) 1911 in his hands by mid wk next wk... seems a great guy to deal with, and his work looks good! Getting what they call their "Starburst" plating, not a flat finish, not real shiney either...an in between.
...The trigger I tried to order to install when I got the plated parts back...Chip McCormick is out of 'em until mid summer...along with everyone who carries them. FINALLY found one on the auction side, but it was black, not the silver I need, bought it anyway.
...As I suspected when I called Chris at Metaloy, "no can plate the aluminum boot"..[:0] "but I'll bead blast it nice and silver for you, for no charge".[:D] Nice guy!
