Opinions on new Video Camera

I like this one - about 1/3 of what an HD camera would cost. I am replacing our Sony Hi-8 camera (giveaway?).

Does anyone have this or a similar one? The price is great!

  It has a 40GB hard drive.
  
  Fact:
  1 hour of video with a resolution of 640 x 480 would consume 97 Gb of disc space.

  That depends on the CODEC. a 2+ hour movies only take up about 8GB (480p) - A full length (2 hour) HD movie is about 25GB (1080i). This camera take high res movies and can fit 8 hours on the 40GB or low res at 25 hours.
  
  I think your numbers are for uncompressed video.
