I'm in the same boat you are, my brother is getting married in November and I am the best man. I hate talking in front of people and he gave an awesome speech at mine 3 years ago. As for bachelor parties, we also had fathers involved and we actually went paintballing all day which was great. There were about 15 of us. After that, the fathers left and we went to a club. I am thinking of organizing a going to a Nascar race or something like that for my brother's party. All involved are old enough not to feel like spending hard earned money at a strip club now.

Plan a group fishing trip. The older guys will be tuckered out afterwards. Then, you and the younger bucks hit the nudie bars!!!! Gotta have that last lap dance as a free man.
I suck at pubic speaking also. Basically tell the groom how lucky he is to have such a wonderful bride blah, blah, yada, yada. End the speech with words of wisdom such as the ones I used at a devout Catholic wedding......"Remember kids, marriage is 10% trust,10% tolerance, and 80% sex." Really got the reception off to a good start.
    Good luck and have fun.

That is so cool, and stop worrying about screwing up.
You have been friends that long, I know you want to impress, but don't stress too much about it. Best advice from a woman regarding parties, don't over plan, a sure move fore a failure. Best parties are rather spontanious, don't over-plan.
You obvously know him well...what does he like?
Even if it's a memorable weekend fishing, shooting, whatever,... I'm sure it will be great.

But then, I'm a chick, so what do I know about bach parties......

Plan a bachelor party that you would be comfortable with your wife and his fiance watching. He has already made a commitment, and you do him and her a great disservice by throwing temptation in his face.

No advice from me, I have always been the groom, never the best man. Don

Use his toast! If it was great the first time it will be the second. You can change it up a bit if you want but maybe not. Don't over complicate. You guys have been friends a long time so you know what he likes. His wife may be another story but that is what a brides maid is for.

My bachelor party? My brother and two of my best friends shooting. called coyotes and when it got dark spotlighted jack rabbits (we just shined the light on them no shooting of course[}:)]). The last time we were all together. I won't ever forget it. Why go to a bar and drink so much you can't remember how much fun you had?

Tittie bars and bachlor parties are like summer and swimming. The old men have already done twice what you are planning/wanting to do.Google DRINKING TOASTS and have fun.you dont have to funnel any beer(although I reccommend it)to have a good time with your buddies. They know who you are already......"Friends may come and friends may go,And some may peter ouy you know. But we'll be friends through thick and thin.....SO PETER OUT,OR PETER IN".......have a nice time, and be careful!!!![8D]

we epoxied 3' of chain in an old bowling ball and the pad locked it to the grooms ankle, then took him bar hopping.

How about find some skinny 5ft tall guy that the groom does not know, give him a couple hundred bucks. A wig and drag. Make sure he knows who the groom is. Clue everyone in. Knock, Knock. Is (grooms name) here? Goes to groom saying she has always been in love with groom, please don't marry her, marry me etc.
Father in Law - " What's this, son in law have you been two timing my sweet Ann etc.
    Might work.

Hire a stripper (or two) - much better than bar hopping and you are home so don't need to drive home after it is over.

Bachelor parties are the one thing that most wives will tolerate so don't f it up for your buds, let them live a little!
