I figure he knew when he listed how the auction works and if he doesn't have the time for online auctions then he shouldn't have Listed it.

He probably hijacked the account for the item you are bidding on. Now he wants to step up the scam before the account is NARU'd. Report it to ebay and withdraw your bid. 0
