Dope on the Highway
I've learned that most people are not real bright and many are functionally illerate, but can't they at least learn how to operate a motor vehicle safely?
It is no wonder that car makers made lights automatic. People don't know when to turn them on.
This state passed a law a couple of years back that said to turn on your lights when it's raining. Many do, many don't. Can they not understand that the lights are not meant for you to see better with, they are meant for others to SEE YOU.
Then there's the asswipes that turn off their lights at the first lightening of the sky in the morning and don't turn them on until the moon is at 12 0'clock. I guess they are trying to keep their electric bill down?
Then there are the cellphones........[xx(]

Yesterday I saw a woman driving an SUV with a cigarette in one hand, a cell phone in the other, with a child around 8 years old hanging out the right rear window with no seat belt on. The woman was doing about 70 MPH oblivious to anything around her. 0 -

Heh, during the fair we had a big flashing arrow pointing out the side road and turned it on when the traffic coming got heavy enough to bring it in on both lanes. I stood there pointing to the side road for about three hours before I lost it to people who refused to go that way. Both lanes of traffic incoming are turning short of the arrow and there is no way to go straight out but people still have no clue how to drive out. All they had to do was go one block and turn right to get to the original entry point.
At a memorial service we had cars coming out and we tried to stop traffic to ease them out the way they wanted to go but half the drivers were clueless about turn signals. One bright guy used his red and blues and plowed out without stopping or looking to see if traffic had stopped.0
