Ruger #1 eye relief

I just bought a #1 in 243 with a 6x42 leupold its set all the way back with a claimed 4 1/2 of eye relief which I believe{longest eye relief I've ever seen} yet I still have to crawl the stock...question.. what scope do you #1 owners use that gives you enough eye relief the scope on it now ends abought 1/2 in short of the safety it needs to be in the middle or far end Thanks for any info

  I'd also suggest going with a looonger scope like the Bushnell Elite 4200 series. I use them on my Winchester Model 70s for that very reason...because Winchesters have a slightly longer action than similar rifles.
