Burris Fullfield II scope
I recently bought a new Remington 700 XCR in .30-06. I am looking for optics and I want to justify the money I spent on the rifle with good quality optics. I don't have much experience with Burris. My first Burris was mounted on a crappy rifle which I sold to a willing buyer at the right price.
I'm looking at Cabelas Bargain Cave right now and I see a Burris Fullfield II in 3-9X40 and they're throwing in a free Burris Landmark 8 x 32 binocular.
Does anyone have an opinion on the Fullfield II models? Nikon used to be my favorite scope but I've heard that many of their scopes are being manufactured in less-than-reputable factories.
Oh the quandry. Should I go for it?

Not a whole lot of shooting experiance with them, but it seems as though the Fullfield's are the most recommended scopes on the forums. As much as some of these guys know, their recommendation is enough for me. 0 -
Burris is my go-to scope for hunting. I would suggest a used signature series as I feel they are a leap above,...but anything from those folks is good glass. The Burris scopes opened my eyes to seeing beyond "names". I replaced the number 1 scopes in the business with the Burris Signature and never looked back,..never regretted it.
Buy a Burris. 100% no BS warranty.0 -
The binos that are included are really awful, that is why they are giving them away...but the scope is excellent and I would highly recommend it! 0 -
I love mine. It sits on top of my Win. Model 70 Lightweight/Lam in .270. Clear, good for long range, nice looking.
One caveot. The whole eyepiece rotates when adjusting magnification levels- but the trade off is less chance for seal failure.
I paid $198 and got the binos.
Good scope at a good price.0 -
If you do not mind that it is made in the Far East and not in the U.S., good scopes. 0
