Please accept with no obligation, implied or explicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2014, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country, nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere . This wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

Christmas is normally one of my favorite times of the year, but I'd be lying if I said this one was going to be normal. The family is dealing with the loss of 2 loved ones and a missing young girl, so it's going to be very bittersweet.
I'd give up everything I own if it'd guarantee they find her soon. If you aren't sure what I'm referring to, please see the sticky about the "Local girl missing." Thanks.
The wife and I did swap our gifts last night. She got me a Milwaukee Brewers Salute to Service jersey. It's of Lorenzo Cain...#6 and the Brewers CF. She done good. [^]

Regardless of religion this holiday still makes a good reason to gather family together and eat too much. Remember who we have lost, love who we still have, DONT let the kids catch you placing presents under the tree and make sure you remember all of your hiding spots. This year my kids are a little under the weather with a cold..
But tonight I will read them the polar express, we are watching rudolf the red deer rain nose. Wife is working so Ill let them stay up past their bedtime and hope in vain that they will sleep in...
Just for fun we have a 7ft inflatable frosty that didnt make it into the yard, tonight I put it in the living room to see if the wife will freak when she comes home from work!!! (she works at a nursing home)0 -

I hope you all have a great Christmas, surrounded by the ones you love. I think all of my children will be here, except for the one who isn't currrently speaking to us, except when she needs money, or bailed out of jail.
This season is a little tough for me. I lost my dog, my companion of 9 years. My brother in law, who is a good friend as well, has been diagnosed in the late stages of ALS. My last child moved out of the house last week. Work is a bitch, and still not paying. The whole world is sinking into a poophole, and nobody seems to care.
But I have you guys.
