In my opinion, Buckmasters are excellent scopes.

Thanks for the info Chuck. I don't know if companies realize how much sales suffer because of poor customer service + the internet.

6 Months ago I bought a NEW STYLE Simmons with the new adjustments in them, It's a 3x9 40mm so far it is the best scope for the money I have ever bought, I liked it so much that I bought another one, only 3x9 that I can see 30 caliber holes at 100 yards. take a look at them. And they cost under $100.00

Bought a new Buckmaster 4X. Put it on a .22. At 50 feet, and the highest the elevation it would go up to I was dead center 6 o'clock 2 inches below the bull. Sent it to warrenty. We will see what Nikon has to say.

    Own many Nikon scopes.
Never had a problem that was not resolved by the dealer at the place of purchase nor Nikon.

I believe that my favorite is the 4-14x40 Buckmaster I have on a Win 70 Featherweight, 7mm WSM. That scope has seen it all and has held up great.

What ever you choose. Try to buy from a local source. For it makes returning any product much easier than going through shipping and all of that.

I have a 3-9x40 on my MZ and love it. I want to put one on my 7mm-08, but I want a 50mm, and maybe a little more magnification. My eyes are 39, and not what they once were.

I am considering a 4-12x50mm Buckmaster. Would you purchase this over a 5-15x50mm bushnell 3200 elite?

They are both fine but I'd lean more towards the elite. However, my eyes are older than yours, on top of higher magnification, I need a more forgiving eye relief. On average, scopes have 3" eye relief, my Leupold 4-14 has 5". Good luck!
