DEER MOUNT - ANTLERS help!!!

Hello, I desperately need help with this deer mount that I own. Since i know absolutely nothing about hunting any sort of help would be really appreciated. I'm trying to sell it. Thanks [:)]

    i pretty sure its not deer[:D] not sur eon value others here could help you more. and if nothing else you could start a no reserve auction here on GB, and you will more than likely get its value if not more.

    and by the way you should stick around here on the boards. we are always happy to help and or BS with others

    Floyd has got it. Not deer or elk but Red Stag. The giveaway is the cluster of 3 antlers at the top. I have no idea what they are worth.

    The red stag is, of course, an elk, one of several subspecies. Taxidermy mounts begin to deteriorate as soon as they are finished, and most flea markets have a deer head or two for sale, as do most antique malls. The value is not great unfortunately.

    375H&H....Thank you..I shot this one in Northern Illinois almost 17 years ago. I have seen bigger ones where I hunt and missed a 170 class four years ago.

    We have been watching a couple of nice 10 pts. this year. I am hoping my sons get one or both of them....
