Elk have two upper molars in the middle of the jaw. I have heard of them before, and my wife was talking about our upcoming hunt and several people said make sure you get the ivory, so we did. I was just on e-bay, and they are selling raw for around 15-20 dollars a set.
    They are used in jewelry.

They are called "Bugle Teeth". The elk use them to help make their mating call. I have seen alot of necklaces, watch fobs, etc. made from them. Google Bugle Teeth and you will find alot of examples of things that you could do with them.

I've found I get more out of them by giving them away than by selling them. I had 5 pair that gave away just last year after my wife said she would never wear any jewelry made from them. Of course she changed her mid AFTER they were gone. Oh well...she just has to wait a while now.

Like elk said, nice to give. I used to give them away at Christmas time after having them made into key chains to relatives and friends that I KNEW would appreciate them. [:)][:)]
