Knife Question..Knives of Alaska
Found this set in a local pawn shop today, whats left of
it anyway.
The only missing blade is the boning or caping knife.
My question regards the stocks...I pulled thier website and these
"stag" if they are, do not look even close to the company's
current "stag" offering.
Are these stag grips or some other type ?
Thanks in advance,
Whatever they are I could not walk away from the $35.00 price tag.

Damn! That looks like a kit for skinning ole Grizz!![:0][:0] 0 -
Look at the stag under a magnifying glass and see if there are "Veins" (real fine lines) if so it it stag if no lines then it is some molded material.. Also take a hot pin and stick to it if they are resin plastic the pin will penetrate and burn a small hole, if not and the pin is hot enough you will get a burned hair smell..Best way is to look for the lines.. From the picture I would say they are polished stag..
