Hollywood out of ideas again...
Just saw that they are remaking the "Deathwish" movies.
This time, it's Jodie Foster in the lead roll. It's obvious that's what it is, they even showed a clip of her prowling the subway looking to be attacked.
It's a cliche, true. But some new ideas would be nice... Oh, and I'm sorry, but NO ONE can replace Charles Bronson.

I happened to catch Elizabeth Montgomery and Charles Bronson in an episode of The Twilight Zone a few days ago. 0 -
Have they EVER made a remake of a movie that was better then the original? Seriously, have they? I can't think of any....[:0][:0]

The folks in Hollywood will rake in millions with whatever they put out there. (Whether it's fit for human consumption or not.)
Why should they strain their brains coming up with new ideas?0 -
Dennis is right of course. This is a country of people who are so enamored by celebrities that they'll watch infomercials before they'll turn off a TV.
It doesn't matter about the content. If it consists of flickering images on a screen, there are plenty to sell it to.0 -

I liked the most recent Cape Fear better with Dinero, than the original with Robert Mitchum in the lead role.0 -
They don't make them like they used to.

I agree with Mateo on that one, but who in their right mind would ever imagine a remake of Psycho might be a good idea? You can't get better than perfect.
On the other hand the Deathwish movies were pretty awful. Ok, I have only seen a couple, but they were indeed pretty awful. They are not going to get better with little miss coppertone.0 -

[:D][:D] You know, I don't actually recall seeing the original. Probably made in the '30s? Or even a silent movie? I would like to. I did like the one recently made starring James Caviezel. I watch it every chance I get. [:)][:)]
