how long does buffalo stay good in freezer
i was helping my mom move this weekend and we cleaned out here deep freeze and she gave me some buffalo meat that was in there. the date on the package says 12/11/03 and i was wondering if it was still good.

unwrap a piece. Look at it. It may be freezer burned, depending on how it was wrapped. If it is not dried out (or glazed looking) and has been frozen all the time, it will not likely hurt you. May not cook well and will likely be dry. Food is not that expensive in this country. If in doubt, toss it. 0 -
4+ yrs. old?? If it was vac.packed... I'd say fry-up a piece, and see ... If it was just in plastic or foil, then bagged,,, i'd be a bit "leary" of it myself..
Shame to let tht good Bison meat go to waste..
