I'll be in DOUGLASVILLE GA...

On December 19. Staying thru Christmas. Going home on the 26th. My Bro. in law has 5 acres that's "LOUSY" with BIG Ga. Bucks!!Can i use my Ancient Winchester in Ga.? Or is it shotgun only?

    Hope you get to use the old girl, she deserves a nice outing![:D] Good luck!

    I had plenty of opportunities this year to kill a doe, button buck, or small spike with my old 44-40 Model 92 SRC, but I thought it deserved a nice buck, so I didn't take any of those shots, maybe next year![8D]

    I suppose the wife will be carryin her laptop along. I'll bring my digital cam, maybe upload a few photo's of the area. I know i love to see photo's .I suppose y'all would like to see some as well.

    don't plan on eating at Sonny's bbq in Hiram [just north of Douglasville] it's closed saw it Tue as I went thru there, brought a tear to me eye

    Nope. Closed for good. They were losing business due to all of the other places that opened up along 278 in the past year. If you haven't seen the area in a while you will be shocked. We have a Circuit City and a Best Buy along there now.

    I live about 8 miles from there. I am heading out of town on the 22nd to go to my mother's place in MN but if you want to get together for a coffee or something, let me know.

    Sounds like a plan. I wonder if U know My BIL Mike. He does custom concrete, he had a couple dump-trucks.Tropical trucking is the dumper co.And his big ford has "deck-scapes " on the sides, the Co. is called "TROPICAL TOPPINGS". U prob. seen his rig.

    I may have, but the name isn't ringing a bell. I live just outside of Hiram, but I work in Marietta. The only time I get down to Douglasville is when the wife drags me along to the mall or I am passing it on the way to the airport.

    He's a great guy, and him and i will prob be ridin together, wile i'm up there.My wife cannot deal with the cold air. (perf.) she'll be wearin cotton ear-plugs. Mike (my BIL) is a big-time hunter/outdoorsman as well. Hope we get to do some walkin together... I miss it.
