I snuck out to the range this afternoon...........
to check the scopes on two rifles. General season opens on Sunday here in Montana and I'm going to take a friend on his first deer hunt. I've been bow hunting several times this past month and have harvested three nice whitetails. I've watched the bigger bucks keep their distance on those hunts and I can't wait to put the sting on one at a distance. I got to fire two shots with my Remington two weeks ago when I took two antelope does, so I wanted to check it again before Sunday. Of course, it was fine. [^] My dads' old Weatherby (.300 Win.Mag.) was used unsuccessfully on that same trip, so I wanted to make the necessary adjustments for my friend. Well, without any adjustments I shot three rounds at 200 yards and kept them all within a 1.25" group. The guy that borrowed it must have been overwhelmed by it as he couldn't hit an antelope on three opportunities (all within 100 yards). [B)][:D]
