Heck... it felt like an oven in Hell over here yesterday. And that was with my AC going full blast![xx(] 0 -
i have returned
ac unit has been turned off indefinitely until i can get it fixed.
the vent ribs/filter on the outside unit was decimated by ...uhmmm...puppy piddle power. this has allowed too much dust to enter the inside unit and it keeps freezing over, literally, a block of ice forms. so all we have to work with right now are fans.0 -
That's pretty tough, man.
Hang in there...0 -
Ours was doing that for quite a while this summer, so I got a fin straightener/ cleaner and went to work. I wash the outside unit with the garden hose, and clean the A cooler (inside unit) with the fin straightener and air hose. I also made sure that the drain was cleaned out because I've heard if that doesn't work right the the water starts to build up and freeze on the A cooler. Also I made sure that I installed a clean filter and all the cover were installed correctly so the airflow was also sufficient enough to prevent freezing. I'm usually not this handy, but asking questions and doing it myself, I managed to get it going and saving alot of money. 0 -
oh we are EMM, i just bought 2 fans for $10 @ the wal type mart.they are helping cool off this room, crystal is asleep and has a fan in that room plus the ceiling, my sister has one in her room and we have a ceiling in the living room. now i just need one or four for the garage and we'll be set. 0 -
I've found that sleeping on the floor can help when it's extremely hot. Probably a bit rough on the back, but cooler by a little bit. 0 -
[8D]We've had a heat wave here in Northern California, but because of cool Pacific ocean breezes at night, my house never gets over 80 deg. during the day--
--We don't have AC and just regulate the air flow thru the house, from west to East at night and cut down as the sun transverses--
--last couple of weeks the humidity has been up to 48% and thats a little unusual--
