I had a model 7 in .260. It was the wife's gun. It shot great after I fire-lapped the barrel and found the load that it liked (it was really picky, but all of the 6.5s that I have dealt with were). I would say go for it. You will more than likely be able to get out of it what you pay for it if it doesn't work out.

I have one in .223. Fits my short arms just perfectly. And its a tack driver. My brother-in-law has one in 7mm-08 that he just loves. Any I've seen have been good accurate guns.

Or, you could just lengthen the pull, with a slip-on recoil pad. $25.
    $410 is a damn-good deal, if it ain't beat-up.
    I'd say jump on it..
