Honor Them:
My wife works for an organization in our County that helps register State certified child day care providers in their homes. These providers are entitled to sign up for assistance through the Child Adult Food Program administered by the US Department of Health. Each month her office sends out a monthly news letter to these providers to help inform them of changes in the program. Her office also participates in the "Adopt a Platoon" program in which they have adopted a platoon from the 10th MNT Division here at the nearby US Army base at Ft Drum NY. Her office mails care packages to the their adopted deployed platoon. Since November is also the month in which Veterans Day & Thanksgiving are recognized as National Holidays the news letter contained a small poem titled "Honor Them". Shortly after sending this letter to the providers within her operating area she received the letter below from a disgruntled provider who was upset that the news letter contained the poem. It was shocking to me to read her response, but to each their own. Since 9-11 over 160 of our local heroes here at Ft Drum have given the ultimate sacrifice for this providers right to free speech. I just wonder if Yoko Ono Lennon knows she is plagiarizing her deceased husbands songs to make her point? I have enclosed the poem first, followed by the letter of protest.
Honor Them
As we give thanks for what we have
Let's not forget the one's afar
Fighting for our honor and country
Protecting who we are.
They fight on for our rights an freedom
So every tired an all alone
Away from family and loved ones
To take a stand, they are so strong
They will fight until their dying breath
If that is what the future sees
Always ready to the march
Protecting such as you and me
So on the upcoming Thanksgiving Day
Won't you please honor them in prayer
Let us stand together hand in hand
And show our troops we really care
Our very best wishes
to the 10th Mountain Division
and their families
This is the responding letter
Please do not send me
anymore war propaganda.
The soldiers in Iraq are not heroes,
simply victims of a mad man an his administration.
Anyone who voted for Bush should be ashamed!
Imagine there is no Country, it is not hard to do.
Nothing to live or die for, no religion too.
Imagine all the people living life in peace!

Perhaps if she did not receive the newsletter, (per her request)would she fall out of spec with the programs and loose her goverment tit she is sucking on? 0 -
I'm sure if her name was published in the newsletter she will get
what's coming to her. Someone will know who she is.0
