I won't even buy the "morning dew", "farm workers movement", or "fruit sprinkel" brand of produce.

Get american and grow your own.

no more food pyramids from the field !

With the money you'd save on taxes, you'd have no problem paying twice as much for food(if it would even cost 2x as much)

I wouldn't go so far as to boo Miss Mexico or insult her because there are alot of criminals from her country in the US. Likewise I do think it is a very poor showing that Miss USA was boo'd by Mexicans, even if our policies were unfair- which they aren't.

Whens the last time you ever heard of a pageant contestant falling down and getting into the top five. Could it have something to do with Donald Trump being the "owner" of the miss universe pagaent? just wondering.

Apparently during the past Miss Universe pageant, Mexicans booed our contestant to show how displeased they were that we would dare to try to enforce our laws and sovereignity.

Well, our gal came in #5 and Miss Mexico? Not even in the top ten.

That's right Mexico. Your prettiest chick couldn't even get the bronze medal. Stuff that in your tamales and choke on it, you border hopping freaks.

Damn them, why can't they just be ugly and unemployed in their country instead of lowering the rent over here?

Screw 'em. I'd pay an extra two bucks per pound of produce if it meant we could use a gigantic catapult to hurl them back to where they belong.

    Hasta la vista, Pedro! [:D]

That's kinda of funny you bring up the picking fruit thing. When I was a kid in HS, working in the local orchard was a good paying job. Now you go their to buy produce and the only workers you see are boarder jumpers. Of course, when they are still paying the same as twenty five years ago. No wonder they can't find any american kids to do the job!!!!!!!!

I picked oranges for Sunkist, in Santa Barbara, back when I was going to
school - it was for a few weeks - lived in the company barracks at
Golita - a friend was putting together firsthand info for his PhD. It
was an eye-opener. There's nothing like trying to balance yourself
on a 12' ladder over a thorn tree (1 1/2" razor sharp thorns) on the
side of a hill (most of the groves there are on hillsides) under a hot
    California (August) sun ... for $1.25 an hour ... 12+ hours a day![xx(]

Strawberries out here seem to be a growing crop....but you can pick your own for $5 a bucket. After about two or three buckets my back is DONE....I don't see HOW they can do that all day long!
