Get one of those that are activated by a sensor on the pets collar, or you may get all kinds of critters using it.

Did you e-mail Jacob to let him know? Would hate to have him think something happened to you when he couldn't find you. [}:)][:D][:p]

We're back....and its funny to try and pick out a door for the DOG! I want to replace the front door with something a LOT thicker and sturdier than what is on the house now.....and we thought at the same time why not look into getting a doggie door?

Here we are looking at the many many options there are and none of the ones I would like are designed to have the door for the pets cut in it. If we go with what I think LOOKS nice.....its just all screwed up when you picture that contraption cut in it.

Who knows what we will end up with. BOY are some of these expensive!!!!

Who here has a doggie door? I saw the "hard climate" type....it has a solid box type thing that kind of pokes out on each side. I don't know if my little fat girl....PURDY....could get through the thing. My dogs don't wear collars. Purdy could....but Huggy Bear would be a mess if I put one on him. He is a white Pomeranian with a very thick fuzzy neck.

Put the doggie door in a side or back door, don't put it in your fancy front door. Just my .02.

Back door will be the one we go in and out of...cars pulling around back. The front yard will be fenced in....so the doggie door HAS to go in the front.
