    Didn't want to hijack the thread about paper patching, and sure it has prolly been posted here when the movie came out but...........

    Anybody know who the old boy that helps Wahlberg out is and what he is more famous for?

    anyone know which rifle he uses, the one he shot the stew can off the stump?

    its on again, I remember he shot at a van of stew, supposedly they used that same bullet in another gun, but after shooting in the head of the target it was mangled so they could not get a match of rifling.
    after going thru the head of the target, do you really think the build would be so mangled?

    Just saw Shooter last night. It is a really good movie. Mark Wahlberg is great in it. I highly recommend it!

    Excellent film. I liked it and so did my wife.

    I'm not a big Wahlberg fan, but he did a good job on this one.

    Some parts are very far-fetched. But I guess that's how movies are.

    Hmmm maybe I need to read the book again.

    Of course some things were shortened up ... left out the part where he took out that bid stag and cut his horns back so hunters wouldn't take him for a trophy and how the "bad guys" got his bullet was drastically different.

    At first I didn't realize the movie was taken from the book, but little tid-bits here and there and I had it figured out in the first 30 minutes or so.

    I'm getting a little tired of the conspiracy movies...but it was good. I have heard all about the Cheytac over and over since it's release. I bet they are loving that movie all the way to the bank.
