So, has your wife ever...
turned the tables on you? The way you do when you walk in with your latest gun purchase and say "look what I got?" Well, my wife done me that way today when I came in from work. Except it was not a gun. It was a six hundred dollar set of kitchen knives. I know some of you might say that isn't much on a good set of kitchen knives, but to me, I'm just as happy with a cheap set from the local retail store. They all cut, right? Not the wifes opinion. She says what about a cheap gun, they all shoot, right? I left it alone after that. You can NEVER win with them.

My wife doesn't get too dissapointed with a gun purchase. I hate to say it, but I have been getting quite a few lately.0 -

oh come on, if the wife enjoys cooking for you then she's entitledto some good kitchen knifes. double standard
i too believe that our guns are investments.
She does enjoy cooking. I'm not upset now. Just can't justify that kind of money on a set of kithchen knives. Guess that will be her birthday present,(tommorow is her birthday)[8D].0 -
What did she get? Cutco? She deserves it.
I tell ya, all guns don't shoot the same and all knives don't cut the same. At least not for long! I spent a small fortune on Cutco and my wife loves them. They're really nice. Don't even ask about the Townecraft cookware! [:I]0 -

That's excactly what they are. They do sound like a good quality knife. Haven't been able to see or use them yet. Waiting on them through the mail.0 -
Hope she bought them on ebay - they are about half price, there.

I steer well clear of the kitchen area of my home. I have a wife and two daughters and it is their business to be in there, not mine [}:)]. 0 -

Lots of order out at your house?[}:)]0 -
I'd buy $6,000.00 knifes and she would STILL toss them in the sink and put them in the dishwasher! [:(]
I do almost all the cooking, she does the cleaning. If I want sharp knifes I have to hand wash them and place back in the butcher block correctly, SHARP SIDE UP [:)].0 -
$600. knives? What in the hell are they made of....gold? 0 -

No. That would cost more.[B)]Some kinda surgical steel, UNLIMITED lifetime warranty, never need to sharpen them. Looked at them on their website. Looks like a decent set of knives. Unlike guns, I will not be buying another set of knives for a while.0 -
I wish I had a set of good kitchen knives, but like the ones I do have my wife would probably use it as a screwdriver and bend the tip.
By the way we both share kitchen duties.0 -
He works nites...on three, off two....on two, off three. I am home at about 8:30 pm every nite. We have a lot of the "frozen dinner" thing. Salsbury Steak, Lasagna, Enchilata...who knows what it will be. Most nites someone just goes to the freezer and picks something....and the rest of us just wait.
I am a rotten mom for letting my kids eat like this...but its all I can do for now.0 -

You're just too busy selling all those awful nice guns. Need to take a break and let me take some of those guns off your hands....0 -
Tonite I wanted to list a Walther 380...Winchester 94...Ithaca 37....Winchester 74...Remington 241...Remington 870...and a scope.
I played around too much though and only got the Browning BAR done!
Bad girl!0
