You have mail, if not shortly you will. And no this is not a private offer to buy, just advice.

I've wanted one of those for about 40 years. No idea why. Maybe because it was so futuristic looking when it came out? Yet I have never actually bought one.

OK, I just looked and it's up to $181. Now I remember why I never bought one. I always thought the 66 was a great $100 rifle but you can't buy one for that price.

I thought the Browning T-Bolt was a great $150 rifle, too.

I just can't seem to like the looks of those things. I don't know what it is really, just looks to much like a toy or something I guess.

*sigh* I "need" it to replace the 10C I just sold.

Not for me, but, that is a fine looking 66. The ones that I've seen personally in auctions are usually scratched all to heck and back. Nice to see a real auction that will go to the highest bidder. Good luck.

I was at a real time auction a few weeks ago. I saw a black nylon 66 bring over $300 at auction.

Matwor is the man when it comes to the nylon rifles. They were way after my time, I did not grow up with them, and cannot get terribly interested, but it sure is fun to shop them with a guy like Matwor who really knows them. Then even I start thinking I might need one.

Those guns are something else when they are taken apart. I never want to try to put one together without three gunsmiths there to guide me along.
