Dealers...Need help locating an XD!!!
I told a local customer that I could order him an XD Subcompact, black, in .40 S&W...only to find that none of the 15 or so wholesalers we deal with has one. Anyone know where I can get one???? Any help would be greatly appreciated...looks like I may have to give him back his check.[B)]

ECC: When I cannot locate a firearm easily I call the manufacturer and ask which distributors received the last ones shipped or where the next run is being shipped. Sometimes it works. RJSnow 0 -

I've passed on at least 8 XD sales this last year due to me not being able to find one at the time the customer wanted one.
I was told by my rep at RSR that once they come in they usually have a shelf life of one or two days at the most. Very popular pistol.
Was also told that Springfield was upping their production in '07 by 20% (I think) to try to meet the demand. Whether that's true or not I don't know, but it won't hurt my feelings any if they do.

Ellet Brothers was offering them this morning.....my guy had 4 total XDs. For some reason the guy we HAD retired and now we have "skippy the wonder boy" as a sales rep. They pulled him out of marketing and he doesn't know ANYTHING about guns.....at all. He is a nice kid. I just never get tired of hearing him read off what he sees on the screen....down to the letter....even includes weight in ounces and MSRP. We don't dare ask him for specifics. We just call and see what he offers. It turns out that since he doesn't know a lot he is having a very hard time selling.....sOOOooooo.....we have been getting ALL of his allocated items.
WOOOOooooo-HOOOOOoooo.....I guess.0
