I am really sorry, you all will be in our prayers even the driver and passengers of the other vehicle. May God comfort you all, and may he let them recover quickly. I know it has to be the most horrible thing one can imagine. I deal with this alot more than I would like, as LF said stay alert and sober when driving.

    My most sincere Regards!

That would of ripped my heart out about what that boy said. Not much can make the heart feel better except for time. I sent a prayer for this family.
It certainly did mine. Truely heartbreaking. My prayers are with all involved.

Could have been other factors causing the accident. Drugs, alcohol, heart attack, seizure ? Sad
So very true. We seldom know the whole story.

I got home super late tonite. The gun show was today so the store never slowed down enough to go during the day. I had to go after we closed. My son and Chris were funny to watch. It was like we walked into the classroom at school rather than a hospital room. They yelled each other's names and went straight into playing video games with each other....nice.

Little Abby is able to walk around. Her eyes are much worse looking now and we found she is terrified of the silver balloons because she can see herself in them. Being three it is something that will not be easy to explain how the DARK PURPLE on her face is going away. They know their father is no longer with them. Abby said "my daddy is in heaven....can he talk there?" My son said Chris mentioned his father to him but didn't say much.

The mom is a wreck right now. She is stressed as can be and it is affecting her very badly. Its almost like she is drunk....she is so tired. I stayed tonite and let some of the family go home to get showers and gather more clothes to stay with the kids. Being in seperate rooms means they have relatives camped out in one and then the other room. I can't imagine going through what they are.

Not to set off a firestorm - but - I find it interesting that some of the same
folks here think it's OK for kids to be kids (implying underage drinking) - but
are horrified at the visuals here of the results of a sleepy driver.

It's always difficult to 'see the results' - I lived in/worked for a mortuary for
two years - then married an ER head nurse.

... I doubt the general public has any idea of what's 'going on in real life' most of
the time ... until it's their turn to step up.

Thanks for this thread - hope it makes some of us think a little bit - as it did for
me - always good to stop and reflect.

I haven't ever thought driving while drinking is something that should be OK....people just don't think about the families in the cars around them. Its always...."I have to get where I am going!" There are lots of reasons for the laws and limits we have. People think they have it all under control.
