House looking at....loving the 1st one, 2nd, 3rd..
The 1st house....on a private VERY nice lake....10 foot tall ceilings, HUGE bedrooms, three stories, oh my at the three level decks with swings on each level.....to die for views out of the wall sized windows overlooking the lake and floating boat house....only $270,000!!! (not a bad price for the house, but when you are used to 104 acres with NO neighbors....I don't know if I could do the sub-division thing)
Looked at some homes that were built just down the road from us....nice...but not anything to scream about. (Convienient to our land would be nice though.) On our way to meet with realtor #2 and we'll see what she has to show us this afternoon.
I will be definately listing some guns to come up with more money to put down on whatever we do!!!! Deals coming shortly!

Why not have a new house built on your land???0 -
The land is 1/2 mile from road end to river end....we want to build a home on the river end of the property. By the time we have the culverts put in that would cross the streams to get our driveway passable and have the water lines put in....you are talking BIG MONEY before you even get to the actual home building part of things.
By the time we spend all of the money on what we need we are in the price range of what we are looking at buying...AND we still have the land here for whatever it holds in the future.
The home we just got back from is an older home with one level, half basement (not finished...just garage area), 9 acres with 400 feet of river property. There are only 3 bedrooms, so we would have to turn the carport area into the master bedroom for what I would like. The home is nice, with cedar or some type of wood walls....and high open beam cielings. There are some pine trees that would have to be cut.....TOO close and tall for my liking. It is $210,000...but has been on the market for a few months, so we can negotiate a bit on the price.0
