wrong sling swivels, no rear sight, and it appears that someone filled in the forearm....so not really a pristine original. I have a '52 issue that sports original glass in much better shape. Will be interesting to see what it sells for. Still lookin for my missing three....22Hornet,220 Swift, 375 H&H

Yep, appears to be refinished wood, metal is about 65% at best (you say a bit of bluing loss) and is completly overstated, as usual. You wonder why you get so many returns? Try just saying what it is, instead of blowing an unbelievable amount of pure pristine unadulterated smoke up the buyers a$$. 0 -

I would lose the sparkly backdrop when you are taking the photos, it does not look good at all. Many of the photos are not very sharp and clear due to the low lighting. 0 -

could you take the time, and post a few of her auctions you are referring to
while her descriptions may not be 100% of nra guidelines, i find them very accurate per the photos, i have yet to find anything deceitful and dishonest about Kasey yet, so unless anyone has proof i find the accusations tasteless0 -

She is not calling the firearm "near perfect". She is saying the STOCK is in "near perfect condition OVERALL". i guess over the years most of us have learned how to interpret-ate a sellers description, whether it be a online auction, gun show, or gun shop, some may use numbers of percentile, some may use descriptions like mint, fair vs. 95%, 80%, you learn how to interpretate them without finding fault in the sellers way of communicating

My buddy deer hunts with the twin of this 257 roberts.
It was his mothers rifle and she gave it to him several years ago when she said she just didn't use it enough.
He hunts here in Washington Rain and I kind of cringe to see it out in the woods now that they have became such a collectable firearm.
He loves to hunt and talk about it though and that is what the rifle was made for.0 -

I concur on each of those diviations from pristine, and yet someone currently is willing to give her $811 for it, and I suspect it will break $1000. Heck I might even bid, such is our lust for pre-64 model 70's. With some rifles it is magic thinking, but 70's are the real deal.0 -
I haven't had but three guns over the YEARS sent back to me....and only one was due to my end of the transaction (Winchester 41 with some replaced parts that I didn't know about prior to the sale.)
I just don't know HOW you guys could pick on my backdrop! I had to wrestle a 400 pound prom gal to get that stuff!!!!!0 -

If you got all that from her pictures and description then it sounds like she did a very good job of posting it.
I would agree with her description. If you don't then don't bid.
If you want to trash someone's auction then found someone who is worthy of it.
Locust is a good seller and I wouldn't think a minute in buying anything from her.0 -
