    Article in the NRA's magazine this month. They put a scope on one and got good groups of around 1.7" at 50 yards. No problems reported with it.

    Actually that is were I first saw it... But I value opinions here just a wee bit more than I do the NRA's American Rifleman.

    Ahh. I have never fired one, but a friend up in PA has one. He likes it and has had no problems with it.

    We sell them at the store for $499 all of the time....they aren't hard to get. Most of my distributors have them in stock. The people I have sold them to aren't usually the "gun people"...but they are usually snagged up by people who like to buy what looks cool. They aren't bad...just mostly plastic and definately NOT in the AR type category people want to bunch them in. I would put it one step down from Bushmaster's carbon 15.

    If you are looking for a good 223 pistol you should look into the Olympic. I have a VERY hard time getting these. They were about $700 and I really like them!!! They are a metal reciever which is EXACTLY like the AR-15...you can actually break several laws and put the upper on a rifle lower. They use AR parts and just are a WAY better gun.

    I have had mine for about 6 months or so, and actually like it a lot.

    I had a couple of failures to feed during the first 40 rounds or so, but have now put over 1,000 rounds through it with no problems what-so-ever through the 10, 20, 30, and 100 round magazines. I have been able to hold a 4" (10 shot) circle at 50 yards with a bag rest, but I think the pistol has much better than that in it.

    It is a little nose heavy, especially with a full Beta C installed, and I will be putting a handle on the fore-end in the near future.

    Locust Fork is correct in that the gun is obviously a plastic pistol, and time will tell how well it will hold up. I think it was well worth the money, as it is very inexpensive. (And yes, I did originally buy it because I thought it looked cool).

    I think it's just resting on a 10 round clip. Too bad unconstitutional gun laws prevent putting a fore-grip on, since that would really help control it with that heavy 100 round mag hanging there.

    Thanks for the advise, guys. Egg on the face is better than breaking the law. That is a 10-round clip in the photo, but I was looking at a combination handgrip/bipod for the nose. I will stop looking.[:I]

    Wasnt pickin on you , just didn't want you to get in trouble. I am glad you like it, might have to think about one. I keep thing about that folding carbine they have that takes glock mags. I want one, just a little heavier duty. will go play with one and see if it will work

    tsavo, The Sub2K's work just fine for what they are, an inexpensive backpack gun. They just have an awful feel to them, to me, and I like KelTec's. Definately hold/shoot one before buying, if it feels fine to you, then get it, they are kinda fun to plink around with.

    Thanks all .....Some real good things to think on....
    LF I checked out the Olympic.... the dealer had a very detailed ad. Cheapest I saw was a G-note+ after the middleman and his sidekicks pocket their FFL induced fees....But it does sound like a nice well built Firearm,

    I wasn't picking on anyone who owns them...its not a bad gun for the money. I just like other things more. If I am looking for a certain gun (like a 223 pistol) in my thinking I would rather spend the extra money and get the one I REALLY want than to spend close to half that on something. The Olympic is leaps and bounds better is all I am saying....why put $500 in something if you can put that $500 toward getting something you can't go wrong with?
