Well, I bid even though I know what happened to the last Python I saw you sell.

Whatever happened with that deal, anyway? Last I heard the guy had sent the gun back but you were still holding the money.

Just a couple of new Rugers.

The Colt guy is still pending. I will send his gun back to him as soon as I get a certified letter saying he will recieve it in the condition that it is in (thanks to them.) Plus a shipping charge. I also will insist it go to a different transfer dealer other than the one that played baseball with this gun. He can either do it that way or I can list the gun here and we can see what kind of money he gets for his gun.....of course I will get the usual 10% for selling his gun. That is how I see things being fair in this deal. He needed to sue that dealer for dropping his gun. It was boogered up pretty bad.

Its funny how close stainless looks to Nickle sometimes. I have had to ask about a few myself. The real clue to these is the serial number. The "K" in this one tells that it is Nickle.

Forgive me, just want to share info that may be helpful to you...for future reference. The only info you can get from that Python Serial Number is the year of manufacture and you can only determine that using a reference (not by just looking at the number, unless you have them memorized).

Here's a blue "K" serial number on auction now http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=81947695

The reason the K tells it is Nickle...isn't because it "means Nickle" its just that they didn't make stainless back then. (thats what I really meant by what I said) I am in NO WAY "an expert" on these things.....I welcome all the info I can get on things.
