I can't imagine that my two bricks of Remington .22 in a bag would be that big of a deal.

    Especially in Kentucky!

I was trying to burn up a Gift Card at a local sporting goods store that is attached to a mall. I picked up some ammo and the clerk asked if I was going in the mall for more shopping. I said no and he mentioned "Good the mall doesn't like people walking around with ammo." I told him I guess they would really be pissed if the mall new I was packing a loaded Glock 19. [:D]

Local Academy told a guy the other day while I was standing there that they would have to escort him to the front of the store with the .22 ammo he wanted to buy. He told them to keep the ammo, and walked off. I guess their policy is any ammo that can be used in a handgun has to be escorted to the front of the store.[xx(]

Since when does a "mall" care about things....and just who is the mysterious group of numb nuts that try to enforce the feelings of a building? Good thing they aren't in Alabama....it could lead to a conversation about James Brown and then you KNOW it gets serious pretty dang quick!

They are afraid that you, a lawful citizen, now being in possession of ammo, might now be inclined to carve a handgun out of a bar of soap and shoot someone.[8D]

Wonder if they would treat you the same way if you purchased a baseball bat or a hunting knife?

No insult intended. I just figured Kentucky would be more gun-friendly. Forgive my ignorance if this isn't the case. Denver is well on the way to being another Liberal enclave, but the rest of Colorado is pretty pro-gun.

Reminds me of the gun counter at Oshman's Super Sports in the Mall of America. It lasted long enough for me to lay eyes for the first time on a Colt Python and a Colt Anaconda.

I've got a 21-month old child at home. She throws tantrums like that, too.

Kentucky is gun friendly, but citys like Lexington and Louisville suffer from communism :( even though they cant enact laws that supercede our states constitution that ALLOW open carry of a fully loaded firearm.

Kentucky is truly a great place! BUT we do have our problems, lazy trash, Education mayhem, Pain pill addictions across the state at every level of lifestyle, among many other things. All in all KY is one of the best places to live in America! I have been to 28 of the 50 states KY is one of the nicest places I have been; As far as scenery, laws, price of beer and smokes, etc, etc...

If any of you guys move, come to KY! You will love it! some of the best country in the nation.

I've heard of a place called LBL that's some kind of sportsman's paradise. I always wanted to see the place. Plus I just like the way "Paducah' sounds. [8D]

Mr. Cool is very not cool.

I don't think he'll be around long after this.

What did I miss, why all the hostility? I don't think I've ever seen such words here. [V] [:(]

    ECC,

I see that you took care of the comments here, thank you. That was very uncalled for. That was what you might hear after a night drinking in a bar. It was very uncalled for.

He's gone and last night was a mess! I had to lock the forum down last night:

Several Mods in the other forums still have some cleaning up to do when they see it.

I am very sorry that I added to his rage. He seemed like such an easy target, and I had momentum going for the Gold Stars. I never imagined he'd really act out so childishly. I was hoping to shame him into slinking off. I want to humbly apologize for throwing naptha on the fire. And, yes I learned something about the fearlessness of internet warriors with little or no understanding of the real world.

Well, thanks, that helps assuage the guilt some. I've grown from the experience.
