RIAs are made in the Philippines, and, IMHO, are junk. A Ruger is a far better weapon for about the same money, and is backed with great customer service.

Ask Nunn about Ruger's customer service. Or better yet ask any gunsmith if Ruger will sell them parts.

    Jacob,
I agree with the members suggesting you buy a .22 pistol, like the Ruger or Browning and some extra mags.

If you really want a 9x18, I suggest this one. Only a few bucks more and is a C&R. This is a C&P from the site you referenced in one of your posts. SOG has them for $199. Note you get 12+1 round capacity.

The Nagant is costly to feed and slow to load and unload.
You can buy Russian mil-surp rounds at SOG, $14.99/40.
Once these are gone, expect to pay +/- $25 for 50rds.

    Dolfan,

+1 on the CZ-82. I have one and it works GREAT!

    McManus,
Well, I have no problem paying a little extra for better quality, but in my honest opinon (having shot both and used my Taurus extensivly) The Taurus edges out the Kimber by a little bit. Paying $300 extra just because it was made in America isn't really an option for me.

Now if they were comparably priced or the Kimber was a little more for a little extra quality, I would probably buy one. But like I said, the versions I held (full sized models) felt bad in my hand and really had no discernable difference in construction quality.

I am unfamiliar with Dan Wesson models, though.

    *Sorry, waaaaaay of topic.

I bought a broken one off a buddy awhile back (Cheap). Figured on trying to fix. It needed an extractor for sure. Couldn't find any parts. Was told that extractor breakage was common on these.
Personally I'd shy away from guns that you can't get parts for.
