Dang! Will it ever be over!
Got the deep cleaning on half my mouth. Have to go back in the morning for the other half. On a baby food diet for a week. Maybe I'll at least loose some weight![V]

I am not looking forward to my dentist visit comming up at the VA.
First of all I hate dentists.
Second, because I hate dentist so much I have not been to one in about 7+ years.
So I have a feeling I will be getting the works when I go.
My thing with dentists goes back to when I was a teenager and had braces. Going through all of that ruined me for dentists and has mad it were I about refuse to see one.0 -

Sounds like a grand old time, dheffley. Dentists suck. Had one root canal and some gum surgery in the same summer as getting my wisdom teeth pulled. Not cool at all. Haven't been back since. 0 -
I have always wondered what would hurt the most.. getting shot or stabbed. I think a dentist rates somewhere between the two. 0 -
Been through it all in the past year..The root canal took about two and a half hours sitting in the chair with no break. When my dentist was finished, he says, "Thanks for giving me the chance to do it. I'd never tried one before..." 0 -
Find a good dentist! Dentist are like auto body guys. There's good ones and there is bondo artists. I had four or five root canals in one year. I usually fell asleep during them. Rather have a root canal than a filling.
Mrs. Plaid was the dental assistant at the time. She says any procedure that takes 2 1/2 hours needs to be split up to 2 visits. She dropped her jaw when I read oldgunner's story.
I do believe most dental hygienists are sadistic.0 -

I always hate going to the dentist, especially when I was in the Army with those wanna be dentist. I just about prefer the billy bob smile rather than to go to one. Next time I go, I'm going to have them all pulled for dentures. 0 -
Know how you feel, just last week had my last quadrent done. I have had this done twice in my life. never again, store bought choppers next time. I have had a soar throat for five weeks during this program. Did you buy the roto dent? if not I would suggest the 130.00 is worth every penny. Good luck.

Had two wisdom teeth cut out when I was 25. Dentist has golf clubs by door when I get there on a Friday afternoon. I get novacaned up and first shot dont do it. So he gives me another shot of it. 30 min later I have two wisdom teeth out , stictched up gums, and I am standing at the counter waiting to pay. Receptionist gives me pain pills and I ask .. how much do I owe. Dentist is starting out the door and says... Oh.. how does $40 bucks sound? I told him I would smile but it would hurt.. Not bad for 2 teeth cut out.0 -
I go every 6 months. Have never had anything painful done because of this regualr maintenance schedule. 0 -
Ive gone every six months for the last ten years, quit smoking, and have given up everything that is not good for your teeth and gums.
I have dental insurance which I think makes me a fat target.
