bad problem...
My Saturday just got shot to hell in a hurry. Been havin a/c problems in my jeep. System won't hold freon. Not a slow leak either. I fill it up with 134a and the next day it is empty. Ran some dye through the system and no leak showed up anywhere. That means it is leaking in the worst possible place on a jeep: the EVAPORATOR! Dangit! You know it will be a long day when the instructions for changing out the evaporator begin with these words: "Step one: Remove dash!!!!!" That means pulling the steering wheel and everything else. Figure while I have it broken down might as well change the heater core as well, as they are both right there together. Looks like it's gonna be a long day! [xx(][:(][xx(][:(!]

I have a Dodge Ram with a hole in the evaporator. Same thing. Dash has to come off. I am looking at a whole day (or more) of work or $800 for someone else to do it. Needless to say, I have had this problem for 2 years. [:0] 0 -
