RUBY RIDGE
Got a new hay source for my horses last week. Within long eyeshot of the old Weaver compound. The wrong done there is still palpable.

has anyone ever met randy weaver, 0 -
Special on the Ruby Ridge disaster on Discovery. (Ch. 135 on brighthouse) 0 -
No, but saw a couple specials the other day, one about Ruby Ridge, in
which they had Randy and family, and some of the gov. people involved.
The other was about Waco.
The Weaver special seemed to focus more on just how wrong the gov. was
but the Waco special was put in a somewhat different light.0 -
I believe a whole bunch of marshals, atf, customs and fbi agents met up with him once or twice. Randy Weaver, American Hero or not? He sure paid a heavy price for sawing off a lil barrel on a shotgun. Ever since Ruby Ridge, I have been almost ashamed to call myself a retired federal agent. 0 -
I shook his hand and bought an autographed copy of his book. 0 -
I have not met him, but I'd be proud to know him.
I can not say that for the Branch Davidians, but I abhor Bill Clinton and Janet Reno's senseless slaughter of these American Citizens.

And gained a bit to. IIRC the special said something about
him being awarded 3.some million.0 -

that's what I heard too. I read most of what I know from SOF magazine (and forgot already). you know they covered that indepth.
yep... he's a different person, but if it was me, I wouldn't give a rat's ass no matter how much they paid me. I'd burn it all, I woulnd't give a f.... money doesn't have nothing to do with it.
but, last I heard (years ago) he was just trying to put it all behind him.0 -
A second rate human who put his family at risk for sake of his overinflated ego. And yeah, I told him that to his face.
Clouder..0 -

Thanks for the link. Good read.0 -
I met him and his daughter (who BTW is SMOKIN HOT!) at a gunshow.
I got the impression of a troubled haunted sad man. IMO even tho the actions of the Govt. agents were crimminal, he knows that he bears some of the responsibility for the deaths of his wife and son. And it weights heavily on him.0
