I found a smoke detector lying in the grass.
What do I do with it?
It could be evidence to a terrorist act.

Having made post about him elsewhere, I decided to wiki him to see if his experiments actually did him any harm.

And it looks like he didn't learn his lesson the first time
On August 1st, 2007, Hahn was arrested in Clinton Township, Michigan for larceny, in relation to a matter involving several smoke detectors, allegedly removed from the halls of his apartment building. In his mug shot, his face is covered with sores which investigators claim are from exposure to radioactive materials.[3] During a Circuit Court hearing, Hahn pleaded guilty to attempted larceny of a building. The court's online docket said prosecutors recommended that he be sentenced to time served and enter an inpatient treatment facility. Under terms of the plea, the original charge of larceny of a building would be dismissed at sentencing, scheduled for Oct. 4.[4] He was in fact sentenced to 90 days in jail.[5]
Remember GB'ers, radio-active material isn't something to play around with. A smoke detector has an ingredient in it that helps make radioactive material he wanted. He seems to be carrying on his experiments. *sigh* he could have killed a lot of people.
I remember the movie "Silkwood" about Karen Silkwood scared the CRAP out of me. It looks like a classic silkwood shower is too late for him.

If it is an ionizing detector then it could either be Americium 241 or Radium 226. Both have very long half-lifes, and with low RQs. 0 -
I think this last arrest is to get some press for some book he has coming out...........
His first endeavor is stored in a DOE radioactive dump in nevada IIRC

We were invited to a dinner meeting about fire safety once by a friend of ours. After watching videos of fire damage and hearing tales of what had happened to various families we bought several expensive detectors....along with a heat detector and extinguishers (I know I spelled that all kinds of wrong.)
I thought it was odd to think of your house "turned upside down" and picture it filling with water to get an idea of how smoke travels through the home. With our new place it has open beams and drives me nuts to think of in a "smoke" situation.0 -

Can't believe he's still playing with that stuff. From the looks of him I'd say it would suck to be his neighbor.
