Poor Brady Center!
While indeed a tragedy, the Brady Center is no doubt wondering what to do with this latest school shooting.
The madman responsible was a minority - hardly the sort of target they want to attack lest they jeopardize their multicultural liberal credentials.
The guns were, it would seem, obtained illegally - would it have lowered the body count if he had broken more laws?
The victims were more than capable of fighting back - they were simply not allowed to by a Virginia state law that prohibited law-abiding citizens from doing so.
All in all, the Brady Center, it would seem, was premature in its self-satsified and self-serving press release decrying this latest shooting as proof that more laws are needed.
And not to draw any measure of satisfaction out of this, but given the facts, it is us gun owners that have every right to tell the gun-grabbing crowd, "We told you so."
And don't think I won't, because I just did.

I don't quite know what to say. This is the first time I agree with you 100%. Wouldn't even change a word.0 -
HATE the cost, but I don't mind telling them "We told you so"
Gee, I find myself in agreement with EMM.........as usual. [:D]0 -
gun safe zones should hang out target's and tell the recepients of these targets just wait, it'll happen, as tragic as this incident is it is proof that no matter how many unarmed people there are 1 person with your average gun can do some serious damage. no *assault weapons* were used, no large caliber high power long range sniper rifles were used, he was armed with a 9mm and a .22 pistol.... if you ask me it makes the brady center look like the brady bunch of idiots and doesnt support a shred of their fight for gun control 0 -
As sad as this shooting is...there can be no doubt at all whose door it needs to be laid at. The anti-gunners bought and paid for those thirty-odd kids...and I would wish them to NEVER sleep thru another night again...
How many more must die to wake up the American citizen to the insanity of the Left and the Fascists among us ???0 -

The phrase in red is incorrect. Virginia law does not prohibit on-campus carry; this was a decision made by the "powers" at Virginia Tech. [:(!]0 -
Spider,
It would seem I placed blame where none was due.
Thanks for the clarification.0 -

Yes and no - the legislature failed to pass a law that would have stripped the University of the power to prohibit firearms on campus....0 -
This makes for some great copy and paste signs for the store....I hope you guys don't mind if I post some of this for everyone to read on our drink machine in the store! 0 -

I heard a guy that was being interviewed on Fox News say that, anyone can get a gun permit and committ this sort of act! With this type of thinking they Brady people will have no trouble placing the blame on guns. It was also said that this guy bought the second gun right after the 30 day waiting period so that laws was not effective!
Lots of comments about large capacity mags.
What is sad is that this guy was not challenged by anyone!
So they are setting us up for a big push to take away a lot of the gun rights we now have and with this massive kill they will have the public backing to pass about any type of law they want. Look out folks we have some major changes coming down the pipe. This could not have happened at a worse possible time, with Congress now all Liberal and McCarthy's bill in the wings we will most likely lose a lot of ground.0 -
Hey, EMM, great comments! I often disagree with you, but we're completely on the same page this time. (Should that make either of us feel worried? [:D]) 0 -
Oh no! I'm agreeing with ElMuerto also![:o)]I must be feeling ill![:D] 0 -
HOLY CHET!
I post something that pees off a moderator and it's.....poof....banned from posting.

...Leave there be NO DOUBT, whatever the anti's/left are saying now; they will lie, avoid and twist the facts ('cause they don't have any for their absurd arguements) to try and deprive us of our Constitutional right to have firearms...[;)]
