GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- Parents who've paid hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, for Hannah Montana tickets and their children could show up Wednesday night and be crushed. The Gwinnett Arena is warning parents to watch out for counterfeit tickets.

Hannah Montana beats the Rolling Stones when it comes to quick ticket sales. And ordinary buyers had an even tougher time getting tickets to the Gwinnett show we're told, because ticket resellers used some kind of virus to circumvent firewalls at an official ticket website and bought large blocks of seats.

Hannah Montana is a concert goliath - her shows here and everywhere else sold out in minutes. Now scalpers and resellers are having a field day selling $66 tickets for anywhere from $500 to $2,500.
Miley Cyrus, or Hannah Montana, has declined interviews about her concert tour and the skyrocketing price of scalped tickets. With so much money to be made, people have been reselling tickets online for an enormous profit. The problem is, there's no telling how many of those tickets are counterfeit - produced by computer software.
"We are definitely concerned about that when the tickets went on sale we tried to put the warning out there the only tickets we can stand by through Ticketmaster is their phone lines or our box office," said Chris Hendley with the Arena at Gwinnett Center.
Arena officials told Channel 2 concerned parents have called asking if they can bring in tickets bought elsewhere to confirm they're legitimate. But officials said they cannot do that.
One parent, lucky enough to get a pair of tickets at face value said she's appalled by the counterfeiting and the outrageous re-sale prices.
"In a lot of state it's illegal to re-sell them at this point because of the scalpers who have come out and charged unreasonable amounts," said parent Andrea Kiep.
Getting "The Best of Both Worlds" won't be easy for those hoping to snatch up a Hannah ticket and making sure it's the real deal.
Gwinnett officials said parents who bought tickets from non-official sources won't be able to confirm they are legitimate until they are scanned at the door. Officials said they're also concerned about duplicate tickets. The bottom line is to be very careful who you buy from.

When the tickets went on sale, they were sold out in a matter of two (2) minutes.....There is now an inquest into trying to stop(block) scalpers, brokers from buying all the tickets....
