10/22 Full Auto

Was browsing GB and saw an ad for the parts to make a 10/20 select fire full auto. What class would that make the gun full under. Living in Iowa would that make the gun illegal to own? Is it legal to own the parts and the gun but never install them? Thanks for any help

    I am guessing it said they were sold as "replacement parts, all NFA rules apply".

    It is illegal for anyone to make a MG for public use/sale after 1986. This is federal law and if you do a search for NFA you will be overwhelmed with info.

    If you own a 10/22 and that part kit the ATF could charge you with intent to build a MG and it is the same as owning one.

    There are many legal MG's out there including the 10/22, they are just not cheep.

    Any class III items are not allowed in Iowa. The ones you see in Iowa were grandfathered in before the law took effect to make them illegal, sometime in the mid 70's.

    i've heard this many times. my question is what causes a person after doing something like this causes him to tell everyone he knows and doesn't know about what he's done thus landing him in jail. wouldn't it be better to keep quiet about it?[?]

    Firearms without locking bolts can easily be made FA. The 10/22 nor any semi 22 can be designed with a locking bolt.....Can't be done.

    All it takes is a little file work...but would lead to 10 years in Federal prison and likely around a quarter million in Federal fines plus court costs.....and losing your Civil Liberties for life.

    Never be able to vote for a President again. Your back hole would belong to some big black man named "slim" for 10 years.

    Don't go making your .22 FA.

    Get the crank fire 10/22 gatling gun. Shoots more lead faster and it's legal. 2 guns in 1.

    I recall they had those add on jiggers like "Rappid/Tripple Fire" or some other catchy names for making your semis like AR-15/Mini-14 pop off in bursts. I think you had to move your fingers quick like or something like that. Those were legal in "most" states.
