Can't sleep . . .
Thinking about flying home for a few days tomorrow. I'm not making any bones about saying I do not like Arizona for myriad reasons.
I need a break. The physical strain of rough, heavy work, plus the stress of school on top of work has exacerbated some of my health problems (had the first migraine I've had in years a week ago, my ulcer is whuppin' my azz, my knees, feet, hands, sciatica, and every other damn thing hurts like hell most of the time).
I've actually had to take a 4-week leave of absence from school to get my life sorted out and my health better. Plus, find a new job, get my Harley-Davidson video tests done for school, and get my bike back together (2 minor repairs turn into new rear shocks, high-performace fork rebuild, custom-mount chrome headlight, yet another carb mod, cams, exhaust mods, building custom foot controls, welding up a sissy bar out of chain (ol' skool!), building a 21" front wheel (I can lace and true the rim myself, plus mount and balance the tire), converting my rubber oil lines to braided stainless with AN fittings . . .)
Right now, I am wore out from work and I have to be up in 6 hours to do it all again.
Anyway, this time tomorrow I will be in California with my friends, Sunday I go to my Sis's and fly back to the sandbox Monday night to do it all over again. C'est la vie.

Sorry to hear about all the stress, man.
Not to sound condescending (and I apologize if I do), but if your life is giving you migraines and ulcers, you might want to either reassess what it is you're doing with it or take time out every day to just decompress.
Trust me, I used to be wound up like a clock... it's no good.
Just get in the mindset that whatever it is, so long as it doesn't land you in prison, is not worth getting messed up over. Chances are your life was fine before these problems reared their head and chances are it'll be fine long after they're gone.
The key is to turn your problems into something that isn't a problem. It sounds like self-help guru BS, but it helps (didn't get that from a self-help book, by the way... got it from, of all places, a comic book).0 -
