With the holiday season soon upon us, I was wondering if any of you have kept any special toys from a Christmas past? In 1957, my older brother and I received a pair of Hubley "Colt .45" cap guns. We were so proud of those guns even though they were huge for a couple of kids! They used "real" cartridges with "Greenie Stick-'em caps". Here's a picture of us on Dec. 25, 1957 (I'm the little blonde-haired boy. I was wearing my Colt, too, but it's hidden by my baby sister's basinette).

I lost my brother in Vietnam in 1968 but I kept his "Colt" with mine all these years. Here's a picture of them hanging on my wall that I took today. On Christmas of this year, they will be 50 years old and still work great! Do you have any special toys you kept?

This is still my fav toy gun of all time.... I have a nice collection of toy guns... A nice one of these still eludes me...
They bring a good price in minty shape!!!

Not toys, exactly. The only two Christmas presents I got as a child that I still have are a Benjamin .22 pump pellet rifle and a Marlin 99C .22 rifle.

Still have some Tonka trucks from the '60s. They are at our home place in Montana, upstairs in the shop.
