Getting down to it - another rant...
I'm getting to the point of no return.
Between the criminal mexicans stealing American jobs and resources, and the price of fuel, and the mire we are stuck in in Iraq, we are being screwed royally.
If they(our governmental representatives) don't do something to fix this stuff soon, us old folks with not much time left on our clocks, and not much to lose, are going to take to the streets and start killing them.
And, if they take our guns, we'll use bricks and Molotov cocktails on them - assuming we can afford the gas.
This bunch of geezers has fought in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and God knows how many lesser armed conflicts. We haven't forgotten how to fight, how to die, and how to sacrifice.

Easy Doug! Write letters and drink wine to calm down after writing the letters.
It time to hand over the baton to the younger folks. If they choose this path of accepting the immigrant situation, and dilution of second amendment rights then they have to live with it not us. After 60 years of age, we won't be around to see things at their worst and its not up us to change it.
There is a country full of 20, 30, 40 and 50 year olds, its their fight. Us wise ole buzzards can coach them and advise them, but its their ballgame. If and when they choose to accept the changes that we see today then thats their decision and we must back away and rant to ourselves.
We can not remake history and change things to a time when we were young. Ain't going to happen. Just my humble opinion.0 -

The "geezers" are very much needed...they are the generals of this war. We need their leadership and experience learned from time.
The younger Americans will be the foot soldiers.
The "geezers" will lead us in this battle for America.

Just remember, the country did not get where it is over night. It has taken decades to get where we are, so you just can't blame the "young folks." Personally, I blame a lot of it on the 60s generation, that is when it really started going down hill. How many of you were young adults in those days? 0 -

I am 45, and was born in 1961, at the start of the fall of the country. I have never bought the garbage, since I became old enough to care,........and I care a lot now! For me, it was proper parenting, that made the difference in my life. I had the "red butt" many times in my young life, and it only did me good,.......did not turn me into a self-hating murderer. I am thankful for the way I was raised. I FEEL like a "geezer", because I can't identify with a lot of the people my age, much less the younger ones.
Have no idea what will ultimately happen with this country, but it is certainly, "up in the air". If something doesn't change soon,....it is all lost, and what a shame for all the "patriots" in this country that gave their very lives, to make sure that what was meant to be, was carried on.
I agree, that the "geezers", are desperately needed for their guidance, and leadership,...........talk to every young person that you can. You ARE still the MOST important part of the fight, as you always were,..........the "greatest generation", and I for one believe it.0 -

Thank you Marc! I think we made mistakes like every generation. For one we spoiled our kids too much, did not want them to experience the crap we went through, but then later, we found out its the crap experiences that build character.
Hope you guys do a much better job, you have a lot of messes to clean up.
Doug and I were raised in the 1940' and 50's, our kids came later and are part of the 1960's, smoke the dope gereration. Dougs kids turned out perfect, like their old man, mine I am still waiting to see what happens to him. I pray a lot!0 -

I was in college in the early 60s. Remember the first "hippie" that I ever saw. Poor soul was verbally and physically abused by the less enlightened, conservative, rural raised, boots & hat wearing, gun loving, independent students at NMSU. Previously, hippies were primarily in San Francisco or New York City but had begun the trek to the more liberal locations in the hinterland. UNM in Albuquerque became a haven, but NMSU was not. They were not well treated there. The few that ventured down there did not stay long.
By the late 60s (when I was back in grad school) times had changed. While they were still a small minority at that university, they had become generally accepted by the student body. It surprised me that a within a short period of time, 4 yrs, attitudes had changed so drastically.
Now, as a geezer myself, I am still intolerant of the "new craze" -- whatever it happens to be. Goths, body jewelry, doo-doo pants, the concern for their general appearance (read -- lack thereof) of too many of our young people bother me. However, I notice that few ask my opinion. Thankfully, they also do not say anything about my wranglers, boots & hat.
Times change, not always for the better, IMHO. But whether the change is better or not depends upon one's view. I do not plan to change but also will not likely live long enough to see what I fear the most. At least I hope that I do not.0 -

I have been patently waiting for 30 years or so for decent people to get a bellyfull of the rotten corruption from high places..and the bloodsucker class of people that nurish themselves from those decent people.

Gas went up another dime tonight...6 pm was 2.79...8:30 EVERY STATION was 2.89.
Collusion..greed...I hope the price goes to 5 bucks a gallon. There OUGHT to be a price to pay for being stupid...and for a free people to allow power-mad corruption to destroy their way of life for for whatever reason deserves punishment..perhaps 10 bucks a gallon...0 -
