    It's all pretty sad!
    Some CEO wanting to pocket 300K usually for running a charity, plus all the others down the line.
    I still give to Wounded Warrior Project, but they may be the same also,.......hope not![xx(]
    Use the good ones that it lists, or find folks in your own area that have returned, or are still active, and see if they, or their family needs any help directly.

    I saw it on the evening news last night and what a same![xx(] I'm not a vet, many family members are, and it makes my blood BOIL! One "charity" only donated ONE CENT for every DOLLAR it collected. Everyone at that company should be shot now!

    Pretty typical, most charities are more benificial to those putting on the charity..They claim operating expenses..[:(]

    That is why I give DIRECT - The Only "Charity" I give to is the Salvation Army.

    Usually I find someone who is really hurting, and give direct to them. That way my money is up to one hundred times more powerful than if I gave to some Charity.

    Pay for a years' heat, or buy someone a van to get to the VA. Buy some medical paraphenalia like a CPAP, or a wheelchair. Take the Mom and Kids out to a clothing store/Hair salon, or something like that. I always tell them to "pass it on when and if you can". That is all I ask.

    Lot to be said for doing what needs doing face-to-face -- or at least locally enough you know where your money, time, and/or effort went. A lot of people on this forum seem to agree, wanting to keep charity outside the realm of government and, by extension, bureaucracy. I too like giving to the Salvation Army, and in my local area there are enough cases of need to go around.

    85 cents out of every $ 1.00---goes to research.

    Only place the wife and I donate.
