Not to be argumentative but ... the older you get the more stuff you
see ... and the more stuff you see ... the less you are surprised. I've seen
people 'snap' and time has little to do with it. Sometimes, it is slow and
sometimes it's in a twinkling of an eye, or the pull of a trigger. Unless
you know the details, one can not really speak to anything except the
final tragic outcome.
No expert here but unless you've seen it ... you've got some more
learn'n to do.

I'm not as old as you zip. And I say that with genuine respect and affection.
But I feel like I'm getting older faster than I should. This stupid world is full of people who idolize fake. Fake wrestlers, lip-synching "singers", cooter-baring heiresses, Rap Stars who make their living reciting rhymes so bad that Lawrence Ferlinghetti would laugh out loud, set to music they had to beg, borrow or steal from those whose avarice has replaced their pride.
The Cult of Personality has become the Culture of the Soulless. Greedy hacks that wouldn't have gotten into high school thirty years ago are held up as the next Big Shiny Thing and we're expected to suck it down with our Starbucks Vente Latte. A tribute to Chris Benoit and its attendant freak-fanned frenzy of worship is a perfect example of how far we've lowered our expectations.
There is no hope for those so easily entertained and the rest of us are left to only hope that they'll eventually become too stupid to screw.0 -

At one point in my early life I toyed with the possibility of becoming a clinical
psychologist. I worked as a live in internist for John's Hopkins Univ. in a
facility - Deveroux Foundation - in Downingtown, PA for two summers.
We had both minimum security and a top security lock up for the criminally
insane. I worked with both. There was one particular shrink I befriended who
who was the brother of a very powerful (and rich) family - actually the
President of Columbia was his older brother. At the time it cost 15K a year to
keep a 'patient' there. The staff was the best in the country
One morning he inexplicably pulled out his fingernails with a pair of pliers and
killed his family with a hatchet. When he called the police he was unaware of
what happened to him, or his family. It was the first time I ever saw that kind
of thing up close and personal. It was very unnerving to keep your eye out in
the maximum security unit and then have a colleague flip completely out. I
resigned at the end of the summer and spent the next summer trying to
forget about it in a steel mill.
... I did stop making second guesses aboutt hose `normal' people on the
outside.

No one knows what went on in his mind ....no one knows what led up to what happened.....I worked in a mental hospital for a number of years and I agree totally with zip...Sometimes its very quick, and other times it takes years for a person to snap....things build on top of each other and you slowly lose the ability to cope....Plus does anyone know what pressure the wrestlling world had put on him?... 0 -

Zip..."pressure', is pressure, it is a relevant term. Maybe a 5 year old's biggest pressure is where their next fudgecicle is comming from, where an adults "pressure" may be how they are going to come up with the house payment money, no difference.
